Looks like you added the code not as a page element but outside it. This is how you add the html code:
Layout -> Page Elements -> Add a page Element -> HTML/JavaScript : Copy and Paste the code
If it's still not working, send me the template file. I'll check it.
I don't think you need to insert any code in your site. You sign up for the same and give the link. Data will be collected. If I remember correctly it will take 24 hrs to update the first report. Do let me know if u can view it after 24 hrs
