I have come across a similar book, which though did not talk specifically about Bangalore, but about India and its surprising uprise in spite of so many hiccups.
Title was "In spite of the gods."
Author Edward Luce is an Europian married to a Begali female. The writing is neutral and catchy which deals with the early Manuvaadi India to the new Money-vaadi India. In fact I enjoyed it more than I did "The world is flat."
Check out and let me find a way to read the book you have told above.
My blog URL is:
http://ankitgkashyap.blogspot.com/Akshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08842950490899464626noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6774883891342443457.post-14648905818587998182007-05-02T03:01:00.000-07:002007-05-02T03:01:00.000-07:00hmmm.. nice to read ur description itself.. then d...hmmm.. nice to read ur description itself.. then definitely that book must be very interesting.. tell me the remaining part when v meet in Train!! he he ;)
We too would have experienced some of it..
